Reasons I Love Kassandra as a Character: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

I have slowly been playing through Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on the PlayStation 4. I am about 40 hours into the game and I really love Kassandra as a character! I wanted to list some of the reasons why I like her character!

Kassandra is Adventurous

The story begins with Kassandra wanting adventure and getting an opportunity to have adventure. Kassandra manage not only to get a ship, but she also becomes captain of that ship. Kassandra also gets to explore all of Greece on land and ship!

I love that she takes opportunities for adventure and decides to explore all of Greece after leaving the island she was raised on.

Kassandra is Bold

Kassandra’s dialogue choices suggest that she is a bold character. She is not afraid to say how she feels whether it be how she feels about a character or the war.

The actions that she takes also show how bold she is. She fights in the war. She also takes control as a strong leader of her own ship and can upgrade her ship or find new crew members.

Kassandra is Kind

Kassandra is kind to her family. She helps Markos even though he always gets her into trouble. She looks after Phiobe who wants to be like Kassandra. Kassandra is also kind to strangers offering to help them. She recently helped a man pretending to be the Minotaur in Pephka find his daughter.

Kassandra is Determined

She is determined to find her mother and end the Cult of Kosmos.  I admire how determined she is on her goal of helping her mother and brother.

Lessons Kassandra Teaches in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

  • Don’t be afraid to take risks if it’s something you are passionate about
  • Be confident in yourself
  • Create your own adventure
  • Show kindness to others

What do you think of Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

Adventure Rules Personal Reflection on “Let it Go and Move On” From Ace Attorney

Identifying with a video game character can be cool – until you identify with a cautionary tale.

via “Let it Go, and Move On” – Seeing Myself in Ace Attorney’s Nahyuta Sahdmadhi — Adventure Rules

Ian from Adventure Rules related the phrase “Let it Go and Move On” said by Nahyta Sahmadhi in Ace Attorney to his life. The post is an important discussion on mental health and how using “Let it Go and Move On” properly helps Adventure Rules with his mental health. It also contrast Ian’s idea of “Let it Go and Move On” to Nahyta’s idea of “Let if Go and Move On.” I am glad that Ian took the courage to write such a personal post because mental health is important to take care of. I myself have anxiety and could learn to “let go” of where I think I should be in life or worrying about the future. Check out the post here and maybe you could learn some ideas on how to take care of your mental health as well!

Just Dance 2019: Fun for Stress!

I got Just Dance 2019 on the Nintendo Switch after enjoying Just Dance 2018 on the Nintendo Switch! I found this game to be even more fun that the previous game because I really enjoyed the tracks and also was introduced to new songs such as “Mad Love”.

Favorite Tracks

“A Little Party Never Killed Nobody”

I love the music of the song and also love that you dance with a pretend cane in the song!

“Bang Bang Bang”

I love KPop and this is one of my favorite KPop songs so it was awesome being able to dance to the song!

“Mad Love”

I love that the dance is a duet with a ballroom style dance! I love the gestures and think they match well with the song!

“New Rules”

I love this song and find it to be fun to dance too!

“Rave in the Grave”

This is a fun Halloween song and I also love that the song involves moving around like a zombie!

“Sangria Wine”

This is one of my favorite songs before Just Dance and I enjoy being able to dance to it and do some of Camila Cabello’s moves in the dance!

“Work Work”

It is a fun song and I love the construction theme of the dance music video!

Fun and Relaxing Times For You or You and Friends!

This game helps with stress because it makes you get up and get moving which is good for my anxiety! Sometimes I can feel like I have this nervous energy trapped in my body when I get very anxious so it helps to let that nervous energy out!

I would also recommend playing this with friends as a friend game! I played Just Dance 2018 with a friend and enjoyed it!

Have you played Just Dance 2019? What did you think of the game? Also, what games do you play to help you with stress?

Siobhan’s Article on The Importance of Watching Animation

Good animation is like a drug to me, it can completely intoxicate me, leaving me in a state of stupor. It doesn’t happen often because so many mainstream studios tend to stick with what is considered safe at the time. But every so often there are moments in certain animated films that grab me, the […]

via “Just a Cartoon”: It’s Time to Get Over the Stigma Attached to Animation! —

Siobhan wrote an article on why enjoying animation is not childish. I wholeheartedly agree with her! I love animation from films to anime. I also find them to be just as compelling as live action films! Sometimes I prefer them to live action films because I enjoy the art and work that goes into making animation! I also love that each animation has it’s own unique style like Studio Ghibli films! I do not like when watching animation is seen as being childish because animation is for everyone to enjoy and some animation is not even made for children! Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Fun with Friends and Challenging!

I started playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate  on the Nintendo Switch around Christmas. I enjoy this game! I started playing through the World of Light and unlocked some characters and then unlocked the rest by playing Classic Mode and spending a weekend playing the game with my friend!

World of Light

The single player story mode is fun, but challenging even on easy! But, that’s because this is actually my first Smash Bros. game so I am very new to the series. It is also challenging because you need to choose the right Spirits to make the battles easier. I managed to unlock a lot of characters, but I eventually decided to switch things up by trying out different modes.

Classic Mode

I really love this mode! It was so fun doing a short succession of battles to unlock characters. I used this to unlock most of the characters in this game. I loved getting to fight a final boss at the end of each character’s short story!

Spending Time with my Best Friend

This is what made the game become instantly special to me! By the time my friend had come over for the weekend, I had managed to unlock most of the characters with around maybe 20 left, including some characters that I was struggling to unlock! My friend came over and we played together. We played so many rounds that weekend that we unlocked all of the characters!

My friend also taught me how to play the game better since he grew up with Smash Bros. We took turns fighting to unlock the characters when they would appear for us to fight them. We also made each other laugh like when Snake appeared as a boss while we were playing the Smash mode and my friend won the round so he had to fight to unlock Snake as Jigglypuff and lost!  I think that the best way to unlock the characters was just playing together with a friend! It made the game special because my friend and I spend hours laughing and we were both really happy when we got the notification that we had unlocked all of the characters!

A Good Time Especially with Friends

I love fighting against Nintendo characters! My favorite characters to fight as are Bayonetta, Pikachu, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, and Link! I also really enjoyed that I was able to spend a week playing together with my friend and that we worked together to unlock the last 20 characters!

This game is fun if you like fighting games or just went to spend fun times with your friends and family! But, it will take some time to unlock all the characters in the game!

What do you think of Super Smash Bros, Ultimate? What are your favorite characters to play as?
