I have been playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on the PlayStation 4 and I love it! I am playing as Kassandra and I just finished the game on Tuesday! This post discusses some fun aspects of what you can do in the game in a fun travel guide post!

Romantic Getaway

Ancient Greece is very romantic and you are sure to find someone here! Kassandra has found plenty of people she loves in Greece and she does love being a romantic! Come find love in Greece!

Sightseeing

Ancient Greece is beautiful so enjoy the beautiful landscape and skies as you climb mountains to unlock fast travel. Hope you aren’t afraid of heights!

Although be sure not to anger the Spartans since Kassandra and I did witness them attacking a chicken for pecking them!

Also watch out for floating goats! Kassandra and I were quite shocked when we witnessed goats floating and dropping from the sky because they did not understand how to swim in the water near a romantic beach!

Hunting

There are legendary animals in Ancient Greece you can hunt to satisfy a goddess and woo a priestess! These hunts are very difficult, but rewarding if you do enjoy a good hunt! The animals are massive and can deal a lot of damage if you are not careful!

There is also a hunt for an underground cult attempting to ruin Ancient Greece! Kassandra and I greatly enjoyed those and destroyed the cult!

The cult members are hidden and take time to uncover. Their battles can be intense unless the cultists anger the Spartans and the Spartans do all the work for you which made two cult bosses very easy!

Patriotism

You can also help the Spartans or Athenians win Ancient Greece! Take part in battles and show your strength as a warrior! The soldiers will greatly appreciate any help you can give!

Sailing

Does fighting or hunting not appeal to you? Don’t worry there’s plenty of sailing you can do! Gather a crew, upgrade your ship, and sail to explore all of Ancient Greece and it’s islands!

You can customize your ship however you would like! Kassandra and I have a Siren ship with the Daughters of Artemis crew so we have a ship full of bad ass women! We considers ourselves to be the sirens of Ancient Greece!

Battleship

If you enjoy this board game, you’ll definitely enjoy taking down evil ships in Ancient Greece! If someone comes after you or you meet pirates, you can sink their ships and board the sinking ships to get loot! Just make sure that you don’t get your ship sunk!

Olympics

Compete in the original Olympics! Fight your way to the top and make Sparta proud! Winning requires skills as Kassandra proved by winning the Olympics and beating men three times her size!

Arena

Olympics not good for you? Well, prove yourself in the arena! Fight your way through several stages and prove that you are the strongest warrior! Fight through several stages of warriors until you reach the boss of each stage! Fight through all the bosses and prove yourself to be the Hero of the Arena!

Reasons I Love Kassandra as a Character: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

I have slowly been playing through Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on the PlayStation 4. I am about 40 hours into the game and I really love Kassandra as a character! I wanted to list some of the reasons why I like her character!

Kassandra is Adventurous

The story begins with Kassandra wanting adventure and getting an opportunity to have adventure. Kassandra manage not only to get a ship, but she also becomes captain of that ship. Kassandra also gets to explore all of Greece on land and ship!

I love that she takes opportunities for adventure and decides to explore all of Greece after leaving the island she was raised on.

Kassandra is Bold

Kassandra’s dialogue choices suggest that she is a bold character. She is not afraid to say how she feels whether it be how she feels about a character or the war.

The actions that she takes also show how bold she is. She fights in the war. She also takes control as a strong leader of her own ship and can upgrade her ship or find new crew members.

Kassandra is Kind

Kassandra is kind to her family. She helps Markos even though he always gets her into trouble. She looks after Phiobe who wants to be like Kassandra. Kassandra is also kind to strangers offering to help them. She recently helped a man pretending to be the Minotaur in Pephka find his daughter.

Kassandra is Determined

She is determined to find her mother and end the Cult of Kosmos.  I admire how determined she is on her goal of helping her mother and brother.

Lessons Kassandra Teaches in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

  • Don’t be afraid to take risks if it’s something you are passionate about
  • Be confident in yourself
  • Create your own adventure
  • Show kindness to others

What do you think of Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

Assassin’s Creed: Origins – A Journey Through Egypt

I got Assassin’s Creed: Origins after it came out and also after enjoying Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. I really enjoyed the emotional story of this game! I also enjoyed exploring Egypt and seeing the pyramids!

Story

The story revolves around Bayek the Medjay, a protector. Bayek’s son was murdered and he seeks revenge on those who murdered his son. The story is fantastic and keeps you hooked until it’s conclusion!

Changes from Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

  • Perception is done through an eagle that explores the area
  • A horse or camel that Bayek owns can be used to travel around the world as well as ships

I loved the use of an eagle to look around areas, I loved being able to control an eagle and see the world from an eagle’s perspective! I also loved being able to ride a horse or camel around town because I actually did horseback riding when I was younger! I never competed, but I enjoyed taking time to take care of horses and learn to ride them at a local barn.

 Favorite Moments

Meeting Cleopatra

Meeting Cleopatra was amazing! She was a fun character to interact with and I loved the scenes that she was in! The only time I stopped liking her was towards the end due to plot reasons that I will not spoil.

Meeting Caesar

I was also surprised that I was meeting Caesar in this game! I enjoyed being a part of his story! I was also surprised that I was part of a major historical moment that I will not spoil, but it was really interesting to see how the game twisted the story to fit with the plot of the game!

His depiction was interesting and I ended up not liking him at the end again for plot reasons! I made a joke to my friend during this revelation that I liked Caesar salad better than Caesar because I love corny jokes!

Bayek’s Character

I really enjoyed all of the interactions with Bayek and learning more about him as a person. I found him to have a great amount of both courage and honor. He also genuinely wants to help the people of Egypt.

What Makes This Game So Special?

This is something I will not spoil, but will only elude to so skip this section if you want to. This games takes place at the earliest timeline in the Assassin’s Creed series. A major reveal happens and I loved it! It changed how I saw the logo of the game and I loved that!

Journey Through Historical Egypt

I really enjoyed this game and how much it focused on one character’s personal journey! I also loved the emphasis on exploration with the questions marks on the map. I loved the side quests where I could help the people of Egypt.

Aya, Bayek’s wife, also had a couple of scenes that focuses on combat on ships. I struggled with this combat a bit, but I still enjoyed those little sections as well!

This game is fun for anyone who has wanted to see a depiction of Ancient Egypt or just wants an emotionally gripping story!
