In Third Person’s Playing Multiple Games

From what I gather, Luigi’s Mansion 3 isn’t a particularly long game. And yet here I am, having owned it since launch, still just a fraction of the way through it. A lot of things arose in the last few months that got in the way. Running the Extra Life marathon. The holidays. Writing for […]

via The Gaming Rotation – How Many Games Are You Juggling at Once? — In Third Person

In Jett’s post, he talks about his backlog and playing more than one game at once. I also have a backlog, but I am doing things a bit differently. Jett decided to get rid of most of his backlog while I do still have games to play, but I did trade some games in if I knew I was not going to play them. I have not picked up Luigi’s Mansion 3 as I still want to finish the first game. But, I am juggling Tokyo Mirage Sessions for the Nintendo Switch and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the 3DS. I have been trying to finish Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for a while and decided to try again after I heard news of the Switch port. I will not be getting the Switch port because I have 60 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and that’s just halfway through the game. It is really long! Let Jett know what games you have been playing and about the state of your backlog here!

Upon Completion’s Backlog Attack

With April just finishing, I’ve just completed my fourth game in Khinjarsi and mine’s backlog challenge. Read on, to see how I got on!

via Backlog Attack- April Challenge Update. — Upon Completion

Thero159 wrote for Until Completion about working through their backlog. They managed to finish Her Story. This post reminded me about trying to finish my own backlog. I am currently attempting to finish all of the Xenoblade Chronicles games I have.

I do love these games, but they are long open world games which is why I get distracted. I love the stories and the world building. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 both take place on living beings with Xenoblade Chronicles 3D taking place on organic robots and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 taking place on Titans. Xenoblade Chronicles X is set on an alien planet which is also a really intriguing setting.

I have not been too successful because I get distracted by other games. I recently got distracted by Tales of Berseria and Oblivion which are both on the PC. It will take some time to get through the Xenoblade Chronicles games, but I am excited to finish them! Check out Thero159’s post on Until Completion here!

Later Levels and Livid Lightning came up with #LoveYourBacklog where you display a badge of how many games you own and discuss some of your backlogged games!

So here’s my badge of backlogged games!

backlog

I do not have too many games backlogged, but I do have a lot of games I need to finish!

Game Most Likely to Never be Played

All of them I have played a little bit of so I’ll go with the one I will most likely have trouble finishing. That would go to Pokemon Y because that was my first Pokemon game on the Nintendo 3DS and I have actually never finished a Pokemon game!

Shortest Game

This is a tough one because I am a fan of RPGs so a lot of my games on my backlog are super long! I believe my shortest is Luigi’s Mansion for the Nintendo 3DS because it is supposed to be short!

Longest Game

Again another tough one because I love RPG’s. I’lll go with Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the Nintendo 3DS! It definitely feels long because I actually had to restart playing the game. I had unfortunately not spent enough time trying to learn the mechanics and made the game super hard on myself. I decided to restart and focus more on leveling up my character and learning the mechanics so I would not get stuck in the game!

Game Which has Spent the Most Time on the Backlog

This also goes to Pokemon Y for the Nintendo 3DS! I played a lot of this game since it was my first game for the Nintendo 3DS, but Pokemon games are so long that it may take me a while to beat it. I also keep getting distracted by other games!

The Person Responsible For Adding the Most Entries to Your Backlog

This would be my college best friend! He has recommended a lot of games to me that have added to my backlog! It’s nice to have someone to discuss games with!

I just realized as I finished my list that all these games are from my Nintendo 3DS! I really love the system and this one was my first venture into playing handheld console games since the Game Boy Advanced I had as a child which was a long time ago!
