I love this idea of talking about Writer’s Rooms! Thank you to Normal Happenings for tagging me for this Daily Inkling! I am excited to see what other bloggers have to say about their Writer’s Room as well.
Writer’s Room: Bedroom
My Writer’s Room has always been my bedroom. My bedroom is painted yellow on the sides and blue on the ceiling so it kinda resembles daytime. My room consists of white furniture where I keep my clothes. I also have a makeup mirror to do my makeup whenever I want to and I have one bookshelf filled with Young Adult books.
The room is full of things that make me happy. By my bedside, there is a noir Wonder Woman figure I found at Barnes and Noble. I love how strong Wonder Woman is and she reminds me that I am also a strong woman. I also have pictures of my best friends on my furniture. Finally, on the wall, I have a framed quote: “She believed she could so she did”. It just reminds me that I can do anything I want to because I have perseverance.
I actually write on my bed. So I have a reflux pillow that sits upright and feels really nice on my back and helps with good posture. I then wrap a warm blanket around myself, sit up, and just begin writing. It just allows me to relax as I write so my writing is not rushed.
Bonus: Places Where I Get Ideas to Write
While I was thinking about this post, I also thought about rooms or places where I get ideas to write so I decided to throw them in here!
My top place where I get ideas to write is actually in the shower. For some reason, that’s when my brain will most likely get an idea to write about for blogging or for papers when I was in college.
The second place where I get ideas to write is while I play games in my game room since I am writing about video games. For example. my next post will have something to do with how Tokyo Mirage Sessions helped me feel better while I was recovering from wisdom tooth surgery. I thought of it while I was playing the game and started to relax!
My newest place to find inspiration has been meditation. I started doing it for anxiety relief. But, sometimes when I get relaxed, my brain will come up with ideas.
