Fire Emblem Update!

I am slowly making progress through Fire Emblem: Three Houses! I am really enjoying the story and teaching!

Story

I have stopped someone who was building up an army against the monastery. There is a plot to murder the high priestess Rhea and we are to guard her.

Teaching

Some of my students have reached level 5 and have done certification exams.

Others have asked me to change their goals and I have accepted all changes so far. Linhardt wants to be a Bishop, Hubert wants to focus on ranged spells, and Petra wants to do up close combat and also use use bows.

I have done another group task with Fernidand and Petra to begin to learn how to fly and it has been going well! I am not sure where I want Fernidand to ride or fly which is why I have been switching him between the two group tasks.

Bonding

Characters have started to form bonds which have unlocked Support conversations. I have increased my bonds with Bernadette and Dorthea through combat. Others have increased their bonds through combat, outside activities, or group tasks.

I am hoping to have my character get a C rank with all the characters before Chapter 1 is done, but I am specifically focusing on getting Edelgard to a C rank since she is the house leader. It has proven to be difficult even though I have been putting her in combat near me and have also done activities with her. Hopefully by the end of Chapter 1 I will eventually have a C rank with Edelgard!

Next Fire Emblem Game

I have decided that my next Fire Emblem game will be Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. It started with me finding a random GIF of a Fire Emblem character and showing it to my friend. I found out this was Camilla from the  Fire Emblem: Fates series.

It was at first really confusing because Fates consists of three games. I did not know which one to start with. Because I took an interest in Camilla, I decided to go with Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. My friend has played this game so he offered to help me with strategy if I got stuck.

I am interested in the story of this game because it has something to do with your main character trying to choose between two kingdoms. I chose the kingdom where you were born. It is also apparently the harder game, but I play on easy so it should not be too bad!

How are you all doing in Fire Emblem: Three Houses? What do you think of the game so far?

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Progress Update!

I am slowly progressing through the game on my Nintendo 3DS and I have finally caught up to where I was. I remembered when I saw the Telethia that this was where I had to quit and restart the entire game because I was just way too under-leveled.

So now, I have spent time doing most of the side quests and leveling up the characters and giving them the best equipment that I have. I also made sure that they read arts manuals so I could unlock the intermediate arts. This post will highlight my progress since my last Xenoblade Chronicles post.

Satorl Marsh

This area is so pretty! I can only describe it as ethereal and recommend you search for pictures of it! It’s also full of some tough bosses. I had to fight some of them in order to progress to Makna forest and I struggled with them a bit, but after doing more  side quests I finally got better and defeating them!

I mainly helped out some stray Nopon in the area. They’re really cute.

Makna Forest

It’s a forest that is separated by cliffs so you have to walk on narrow bridges, I do not recommend looking down! I also helped Nopon here, but I mainly helped the ones in Frontier village out!

One thing I do not like it a giant dinosaur that’s almost 100 and I am barely 40 so I run when I see it!

I also met Melia here and some guy that looks just like Shulk named Alvis. Melia is a mage in the game and she is so far determined to help her people with the Telethia. Alvis briefly taught a technique and then disappeared so I cannot really say much more about him yet.

Frontier Village

This is a Nopon village inside of a tree! I love it and it looks like such a nice place to live! There are bridges that help the village grow upwards inside the tree. It also has a beautiful clear lake at the bottom of the first level.

The Nopon need so much help, but because of them I have leveled up quickly from doing all of their side quests along Frontier Village and Makna Forest

Colony 6

I am slowly rebuilding Colony 6 and I love helping the people rebuild their city! I struggled at first helping them move because the enemies guarding the bridge were tough and there were multiple enemy types to defeat.

Now I can physically build the colony and invite people into the colony. It is currently almost completely level 2. I cannot make it fully level 2 yet because I need some rare materials.

I do love the reconstruction process because you can physically see the town being rebuilt. It starts out as a pile of rubble, but towns and shops pop up as you increase Colony 6’s level.

Leone Telethia Boss

This boss has two stages! Both times I was doing really well. I was able to strategize my moves to take down it’s health. It was so much easier this time! I did feel bad that the Telethia could not be tamed, but at least Melia was able to avenge her guard’s deaths.

Making Progress is So Rewarding!

I am really excited to see all new scenes after the Telethia boss. I am currently at Eryth sea and Alcamoth. Eryth sea is gorgeous with floating islands and the clear sea. Alcamoth is breathtaking. It is a large palace with clear seas and the colors are mainly white which makes it look ethereal as well. This game does a fantastic job of making these unique locations that do look like they are from another world! It really helps with immersion!

Name a game that you had a tough time progressing through!
